Morcem^® Dry R

Technical Caracteristics

Product based on white cement of high resistance, selected aggregates, special additives, and resins that provide high impermeability.

Advantages and Uses

• It does not allow water passing.

Suitable for:

• Tanks, rafts, fountains, basements, and pools. Interior and exterior walls.
• It does not alter water’s potability.
• Easy to apply and resistant to open air.
• It provides different aesthetic finishes according to completion.
   

Suitable Substrates

• Blocks, pieces, prefabricated smooth concrete, plasters rich in cement and traditional substrates under construction.
• Substrates must be resistant enough, stable, sound, and clean. Free of dust, release agents, organic products, etc.
• In case of heavy heat, wind, or very absorbent substrates, it is advisable to moisten the substrate and wait until the water film is totally absorbed.

Application Procedure

• Add between 5.5-6.5 L of water per bag and mix manually or mechanically until getting a homogeneous and workable consistency.
• Make sure the substrate is slightly wet before applying with a flat brush a first thick layer of product. Let it dry for 2 to 4 hours approximately.
• Apply a second layer with a flat paint brush following the same previous steps.
• The final finish can be conducted with a normal trowel or a sponge square plastering trowel, depending on the texture desired.
• Wait for at least 4 days before filling the tank.

NOTE: The application must be conducted with a paint brush. Do not apply MORCEM®DRY R with a trowel. Use the trowel just for the last step.
 

Recommendations

• Do not apply below 5ºC nor above 30ºC.
• Do not apply when there is a risk of frost, rain, strong wind or direct sunlight.
• To ensure waterproofing, keep a minimum thickness of 5 mm.
• Clean the surface with clean water 24 hours after. Repeat the same operation 2 times at least before filling the tank.
• Do not apply more than 6mm thicknesses.

Packaging and Storage

25Kg of laminated paper sacks.
Store up to 1 year in its original closed container, away from extreme weather conditions and humidity.

Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)

Cement based mortar prepared with aggregates that are supplied close to the production center, which reduces the greenhouse gas emissions that would otherwise arise from their transport. Manufactured in production centers with an Environmental management certified system following ISO 14001 regulation, offering a firm promise of sustainability and respect for the environment.
