Technical Caracteristics

Natural cork.

Advantages and Uses

  • Traditerm Nature External Thermal Insulation System (ETICS).
  • 100% natural and recycled insulation Mechanical stability CO₂ sink (carbon-negative)
  • Thermal insulation. Acoustic insulation.
  • Highly breathable. Permeable to water vapour. Lightweight and easy to manage.
  • Easy to cut.
  • Range of thicknesses offering different levels of insulation.

Application Procedure

  • The plates are fixed to the substrate using the TRADITERM adhesive mortar, previously applied on it, using the notched trowel method.
  • The placement of the plates is done in a staggered pattern (minimum 25 cm gap between the vertical joints of the plates).
  • Due to the impossibility of correcting unevenness between panels by sanding, ensuring the flatness of the surface when installing these insulating panels is critical.
  • Fasteners should be placed on the panels, with 8 units per m². The upper part of the fastener should be inserted a few mm into the plates. Subsequently, with the help of TRADITERM mortar, the surface on the panel is regularized.
  • Before finishing the process cover the plates with TRADITERM mortar, reinforced with a TRADITERM mesh.

Recommendations

  • During fixation and rendering with Traditerm mortar, avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
  • To fix the panels, apply Traditerm mortar on the panel surface and comb it with a notched trowel. Remove a strip of mortar approximately 2 cm from the edge to prevent the adhesive from overflowing when the panel is pressed onto the substrate. This avoids mortar residues between panels and the formation of thermal bridges.
  • When fixing the panels to the substrate, carefully control their flatness.
  • Reinforce all panel corners using the designated reinforcement beads for Traditerm Systems (ETICS)
  • In areas exposed to impact, strengthen the panels by applying a double layer of Traditerm mesh.
  • At window edges and corners of openings, avoid aligning panel joints with these areas to prevent crack formation.
  • Reinforce these vertices with 20x40 cm mesh strips placed diagonally and fixed with Traditerm mortar.

NOTE: When the product described in this Technical Data Sheet is used as part of a system or construction solution by GRUPO PUMA, officially defined as a component thereof, the specific instructions and recommendations included in the relevant technical documentation must be strictly followed.
