Covering and protective paint for vertical walls, highly breathable. Particularly suitable for restoration of façades and other mineral surfaces. Provides a matt finish to painted surfaces.

Technical Caracteristics
Liquid potassium silicate, modified with an acrylic copolymer dispersion, pigments, selected extenders, fillers and additives.
Advantages and Uses

- High resistance to corrosive atmospheres and various conditions caused by acids, alkalis and UV rays.
- Perfect adherence to substrate. It also increases strength of renders due to its petrification action.
- Totally breathable film.
- Water vapour permeable, allowing the substrate to dry easily.
- High resistance to substrate alkalinity.
- Highly Alkaline covering preventing the appearance of fungus and bacteria until the carbonation process has finished.
- Non yellowing.
Suitable Substrates
- The substrate must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease, etc.
- New cement rendering must be fully cured.
- Whitewash covered surfaces must be cleaned before with high-pressure water.
- Treat with adequate products areas covered by fungus and algae.
- Level off any uneven surfaces. Leave to dry and sand.
- Existing paint must be completely removed by brushing the surface, sanding or scraping, if necessary.
- Apply the paint according to the instructions.
Application Procedure
- Stir the paint until perfectly homogeneous.
- Only inorganic pigments should be used to colour the product.
- Remove the old covering. Apply a coat diluted 20%-30% with water
- Dilute the first coat with water (5-10%).
- Dilute the second and following coats with up to approximately 5% water.
- If plastering is necessary, a paste containing silica should be used, in order to reduce the effect of absorption differences on finishing.
- All the edges should be done in the opposite way to painting with plastic paints; first painting the flat surface and then filling in afterwards.
- Foggy or very damp atmospheres can delay the final hardening of this material.
- Some skill is necessary to apply this product successfully.
- Surfaces must be protected from rain while the material is being applied or while it is hardening.
- After the drying time, apply 2-3 coats of undiluted PUMACRIL AL SILICATO.
NECESSARY TOOLS
- The product can be applied with a brush, roller or spray gun
- Tools should be cleaned with water before the paint dries.
Recommendations
- Do not apply at temperatures below 5º C
- Do not apply with relative humidity higher than 85%, nor to wet substrates.
- Store in a cool dry place.
- It is advisable to use the appropriate personal protection equipment due to the high alkaline content.
- High alkaline product. It is recommendable to wear gloves and protective goggles. In case of product coming into contact with eyes, wash them with plenty of fresh water.
- Protect aluminium and wood frames, etc.
- Product should not be used on horizontal or sloping surfaces such as water drainage systems or ledges.
- Permanent exposure to rain will shorten the life of this covering.

Shelf life: 1 year in sealed original packaging, sheltered from weather conditions and humidity.
