Technical Characteristics

Product based on NHL 3,5 natural hydraulic lime, CL90 air lime, pozzolan, mineral fillers and other additives. Contains no cement.

Suitable Substrates

• On substrates previously treated with MORCEM® CAL ACABADO.
• Thoroughly dampen the substrate and wait until the surface water film has disappeared before application.
• Do not apply over gypsum or paint.
   

Application Procedure

MANUAL APPLICATION

• Add water (6,0-6,3 l per 15 kg bag) and mechanically mix until a homogeneous and workable consistency is obtained.
• Mix, adjusting the water to the recommended amount and avoiding excess, allowing the desired consistency to develop through prolonged mixing. 
• Prepare the substrate by dampening it beforehand and wait until the surface water film has disappeared.
• Spread the mixed product over the substrate with a trowel, pressing firmly onto the substrate to ensure adhesion and prevent air entrapment.
• Apply to a thickness not exceeding 2 mm.
• At least 24 hours before application, thoroughly dampen the substrates. Cure the applied material for 24 hours after application. Wait 24-48 hours per cm. of base render thickness before applying Morcem® Cal Acabado Extrafino.
   

Recommendations

• Do not apply below 5ºC or above 30ºC.
• Do not apply where there is a risk of frost, rain, strong winds or direct sunlight.
• In extreme weather conditions (strong winds or high temperatures), gently spray the product with water on the day after application.
• Do not apply directly onto the wall substrate (brick, concrete block, etc.)
• Do not add water to mortar that has already been mixed once it begins to harden.
   

Packaging and Storage

15 Kg plastic-lined paper bags.
Store for up to 1 year in the original sealed packaging, protected from weather and moisture.

Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)

Mortar manufactured using aggregates sourced close to the production centres, reducing greenhouse gas emissions associated with their transport, and manufactured at production centres with Environmental Management Systems certified in accordance with ISO 14001, demonstrating a firm commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.

Mortar with a Type III ecolabel (the most demanding category), with an Environmental Product Declaration externally verified by AENOR.
