Additional information

Technical Caracteristics

It has cement, organic aggregates, and mineral loads.

Advantages and Uses

  • Correct adhesion
  • Suitable resistance as rendering.
  • Rainproof.
  • Permeable to water vapour.
  • Reaction to fire Euroclass A1.

Suitable Substrates

  • Enclosure panels composed of cement and covered on both sides by a fibreglass mesh.

Application Procedure

  • Add water to the product and mix with the help of a  mixer, until getting a homogeneous paste. After allowing the materials used in the joint treatment, as indicated by the manufacturer, to dry properly, spread the MORCEM® PANEL over the panel. Then, using a notched trowel (size 8), comb the product to achieve an even distribution of mortar across the surface of the panels.
  • Unroll the Traditerm Malla bands from top to bottom, overlapping them by at least 10 cm, and press them with a trowel onto the grooves of the Morcem® Panel mortar until they are completely embedded in it. This coat should be at least 2 mm thick, and the grid of the embedded mesh should be visible on the surface.
  • Once this coat is slightly hardened and as soon as possible (usually the next day), apply a 2 mm, smooth but not float, second coat of Morcem® Panel mortar, as surface finish.
  • Once the reinforced coat of Mortero Morcem® Panel is hard and dry enough, but never before 2 days from the last application, you may proceed with the FONDO MORCEMCRIL acrylic primer, using a roller, paint brush or paint gun.
  • 24 hours after, once it is completely dry, you may apply a finish coat of acrylic mortar from the MORCEMCRIL range.

Recommendations

  • Do not apply the product under 5ºC nor above 30ºC temperature.
  • Do not apply under the risk of frost, rain, heavy wind, or direct sun light.
  • The reinforced mortar layer covering the panels must have a thickness between 3-6 mm.
  • Before applying MORCEM PANEL mortar, the enclosure formed by the panels must ensure the waterproofing of the envelope by applying the recommended joint treatment between panels, preventing water from penetrating the façade partition.
  • This treatment must be conducted on both horizontal and vertical joints.
  • Before applying the base reinforcement layer, place 20x40 cm TRADITERM mesh strips at a 45º angle at all corners of façade openings (windows, doors...) to reinforce the jambs and lintels. Even though the mesh is covered, the grids should be marked.
