Technical Caracteristics

Made out of high purity aggregates and special asphalt emulsions.

Advantages and Uses

• Highly recommended to carry out reparations of damaged asphalt and pot-holed surfaces, very suitable for road maintenance areas, city councils, building constructions material warehouses, potable water or gas companies maintenance, etc.
• PAVILAND ® ASFALTO EN FRÍO is also perfect as finish of the ditches raceway, sewer edges, catch basins, etc., as well as for economic and fast construction of access slopes and small curves.
• Great quality product, designed to be as a superficial layer or  final finish.
• PAVILAND® ASFALTO EN FRÍO is very easy to apply as it does not need any previous preparation, mixture, primer or sealing.  It does not require any special means for its laying, it is very easy to manipulate and compact.  There is no need to interrupt the traffic and it offers an immediate use after being treated.
• Also, due to its granulometry, it favours the water drainage system and it avoids the slipping of the vehicles and the accumulation of dust in the surface.
• Thanks to its composition, it is a product that has a great adhesiveness and it preserves its proprieties against temperature changes during its storage or even once it has been placed, this give us the possibility of using it either in summer or winter.

Application Procedure

• Make sure the surface is clean in order to guarantee the union.
• Pour the product over the surface; spread it with a trowel or any other suitable tool.
• Compact it with a roll, manual rammer or a vehicle wheel.
• Bear in mind that this compaction process includes a loss in volume, and therefore, it is advisable to pour the necessary amount of product, so when it is fully compacted, you get the desired  thickness. The thicker the layer, the bigger volume loss.
• It is advisable not to compact layers with more than 5 cm thickness. In this case, the process should be repeated as many times as required, until getting the desired level, but always with less than 5 cm per layer. The optimum thickness of the layer should be around 3 to 5 cm.
• Curing time from 10 to 20 days approximately.

Recommendations

• Do not use PAVILAND ASFALTO EN FRÍO under 5ºC  nor over 35ºC.
• It is recommemded to finish the product once its packaging has been opened.
• We should always avoid manoeuvring in the treated area during the curing process.
• Anionic emulsions (waterproofing), have a negative reaction towards the product (do not use it).

Consumption according to dimensions (kg/m²)

Each 25 kg container provides 1m2 performance in approximately 1 cm layer.

Packaging and Storage

25kg plastic container 1 month storage in its original packaging, indoors and away from humidity.
