Pumacril® Revestimiento Elastómera
HIGH ELASTICITY waterproof elastomeric coating formed by an aqueous dispersion of self-crosslinking acrylic resins by UV rays, pigments and special additives; intended for the protection of all type of materials (concrete, cement, brick, etc...) in which contractions of the facing are expected to cause cracks. also suitable for substrates with cracks that may cause moisture problems. Technical Caracteristics
Product based on watery dispersion of acrylic resins self-crosslinking by UV rays, pigments and special additives.
Advantages and Uses
- Great whiteness. Once it gets dry, it forms an impervious to rainwater and a permeable to water vapour film.
- It provides good covering power and excellent resistance to moisture and alkalis.
- It has a magnificent adhesion on the usual construction substrate, whether cement mortars, plaster, plaster, etc.
- Its application achieves washable, waterproof surfaces with low stickiness.
- Great resistance against ageing.
- Great flexibility against substrates contractions with good tensile strength.
This product has a protection against fungus, mould and algae which provides a long-lasting preventive and retardant effect although not permanent. The duration of this affectation depends on the exposure to humidity and the concentration of spores in the area, which create especially favourable conditions for the growth of micro-organisms. Therefore, a periodic preventive maintenance treatment is recommended.
Suitable Substrates
NEW CONSTRUCTIONS
- Remove any dust, greases or any other type of dirt.
- A FIJAMOR layer may be convenient diluted with 2-3 parts of water, to fix and equalise the absorption of the substrate.
- Apply the paint according to the instructions given.
OLD CONSTRUCTIONS
- Remove any mould contamination as well as any remaining paint or other construction materials.
- Level any irregularities with a suitable amount of paste.
- Let it dry and sand it.
- A FIJAMOR layer may be convenient diluted with 2-3 parts of water, to fix and equalise the absorption of the substrate.
- Apply the paint according to the instructions given.
Application Procedure
- Shake until perfect homogenisation.
- Apply a first layer diluted in a 5 – 10% of water.
- Apply a second layer without diluting.
APPLICATION TOOLS
- It can be applied using a brush, a roller, an airless spray gun or a pistole.
- Make sure the product has been previously mixed and correctly diluted.
- Tools must be cleaned with abundant water before the paint dries.
Recommendations
- Do not apply at temperatures below 5ºC.
- Do not apply either with relative humidity greater than 85% or on wet supports.
- Stores in fresh and dry places.
Packaging and Storage
4 and 15 L tub.
Shelf life: 1 year in sealed original packaging, sheltered from outside conditions and humidity.
