Technical Caracteristics

Aerial lime based product, with balanced grain size distribution aggregates and other additives.

Advantages and Uses

Suitable Substrates

• MORCEM THICK STUCCO is a waterproofing solution as it is the most recommended base layer for MORCEM FINE STUCCO, conventional cement based substrates, paints that are in good condition, plaster, and plasterboard.
• Substrates must be resistant, stable, sound and clean, free of dust, demolding agents, organic products, etc.

Application Procedure

• Add water and mix by hand or mechanically until it takes on an even and workable consistency, and lump-free.
• Spread the mixed product.
• The paste is spread using a steel trowel, leaving a thickness between 2 and 4 mm.
• To prepare for MORCEM EXTRA FINE STUCCO go over with steel trowel until a smooth finish is obtained.
• The smooth finish is obtained by troweling the material with a sponge trowel.

Recommendations

• Do not apply directly on the wall (brick, concrete block, etc) given that the purpose of this material is strictly decorative and must be always applied over MORCEM THICK STUCCO, or roughcast that meets the technical requirements for facade protection.
• Do not apply below 5ºC nor above 30ºC.
• Do not apply when there is a risk of frost, rain, strong wind or direct sunlight.
• It is not advisable to apply on horizontal or sloped surfaces.

Packaging and Storage

25 kg plastic-lined paper bags.
Shelf life: 1 year in sealed original packaging, sheltered from weather conditions and humidity.
