Additional information

Composition

Product based on high resistance cement, selected aggregates, special additives, pigments and synthetic resins.

Features and applications

  • To be applied directly on the brickwork. No need for a previous plastering.
  • To be applied indoors and outdoors.
  • Waterproof cladding.
  • Permeable to water vapour, allowing the substrate to breathe.
  • No cracking.
  • Wearing resistant. Fading resistant.
  • Wide range of decorative finishes by application of molds or rollers.

Substrates

  • Conventional cement and brickwork based substrates.
  • Substrates must be resistant, stable, sound and clean, free of dust, demolding agents, organic products, etc.
  • In case of hot or windy weather conditions or when applying over absorbent substrates, it is advisable to wet the substrate and wait till the thin layer of water disappears.
  • In particular points (union between different materials, top slabs, pillars, roller blind boxes, angles in the door and window frames, etc.), prepare the mortar with glass fibre mesh to avoid fissures.
  • With low-porosity substrates, apply a priming coat (IMPLAFIX) or improve roughness by mechanical means.
  • Do not apply on clay or on paint.

Instructions for use

The stamped one coat mortar requires to follow a series of steps during application which are not very different from conventional rendering jobs.

The steps to be taken are as follows:

  • Reinforce the substrate with a mesh on stressed areas and prepare partition joins as in a conventional one-coat system.
  • Mix preferably by mechanic means until a homogenous paste is obtained.
  • Spread a layer of 10mm max on the substrate. Thicker coatings can be achieved depending on desired finish texture.
  • Wait for 15-20 minutes (depending on weather conditions this may vary) before texturing MORCEM TEXTURE. When the product does not adhere to the naked fingertip it is a good indication that the product is ready to be textured.
  • Spray a small quantity of demolding liquid DESMOLDEANTE MORCEM TEXTURE on the render and on the mold/roller. Repeat every 1m2.
  • Run the roller on the render to create a pattern. Adequate pressure must be exerted. Hard enough so the stamping is clear but soft enough not to produce pressure waves on the render. Small stamping defects should be fixed immediately during the stamping process.
  • Option: 24 hours after application MORCEM TEXTURE can been pigmented by moistening the texture and spreading a dilution of one or many pigments on the stamped render.
  • Option: To increase the resistance of the finish, spray RESINA MORCEM TEXTURE on the exiting MORCEM TEXTURE, otherwise use a roller with the lowest yield possible (white foam roller or varnish roller). Apply an even coating so avoiding the generation of straight lines of excess product which may yield a poor finish.

Cautions and recommendations

  • Do not apply below 5ºC nor above 30ºC.
  • Do not apply when there is a risk of frost, rain, strong wind or direct sunlight.
  • It is not advisable to apply on horizontal or sloped surfaces.
  • Take care not to contaminate/stain other surrounding elements when spraying RESINA MORCEM TEXTURE
