Antisalmor

ANTISALMOR is a water-based product for removing and preventing the appearance of efflorescence caused by saltpeter on typical construction site facings, such as mortar, concrete, brick, fiber cement, natural stone, etc. It has great penetration in the support and great capacity of dissolution of the salts. This additive prevents the crystallization of salts on the treated surface. It is transparent and colourless and capable of cohering loose or poorly adhering particles.

Substrates

NEW:

  • Remove dust, grease and other contaminants.
  • Apply ANTISALMOR according to instructions for use.

OLD:

  • Remove mold contamination with bleach or other suitable decontaminant, and also any loose bits of paint or other construction materials.
  • Level irregularities with a suitable filler.
  • Leave to dry and sand down.
  • Apply ANTISALMOR according to instructions for use.

Instructions for use

  • Shake to homogenize the product.
  • Brush the surface to be treated forcefully.
  • Act vigorously on the surfaces with high salt deposits; use a bristled brush for this and try to open up the pores as much as possible.
  • Apply with a brush or roller, priming with the greatest quantity possible.
  • Tack-free time: 30 minutes.
  • The surface should be rinsed well once the primer ANTISALMOR is dry.
  • The treated surface can be repainted; wait at least 4 hours after the ANTISALMOR has been applied.
  • Before the repainting, or on facings with minor problems, ANTISALMOR can be used as primer, applying it diluted with 2 parts of water.
  • Tools should be cleaned with water immediately after their use.

Cautions and recommendations

Do not apply at temperatures below 5⁰C or above 30⁰C, in direct sunlight, rain or when there is a risk of frost.

Packaging

1.5 and 25 L containers.
Shelf life: 24 months in its well sealed original packaging, in a cool dry place protected from weather conditions and direct sunlight, and not exposed to temperatures below 5ºC or above 35ºC.
