Morcem® Dry PU

MORCEMDRY PU UV Varnish is an elastic two-component aliphatic polyurethane coating with solvents. It provides resistant and elastic protective films against ultraviolet rays. In addition to that, these films are elastic and also offer great resistance against industrial environments and other pollutants.

Features and applications

  • Suitable to be applied as:
  • Final layer in external sealing treatments using polyurethane resins on concrete or mortar substrates such as dams, channels, deposits, decanters, etc.
  • Coating for metallic elements such as pipelines, structures, etc.
  • Sealing and protection of putty in expansion joints, construction, etc.
  • Coating for floors and walls of chambers, laboratories, rooms, etc., subjected to aseptic radiation

Substrates

The surface must be free from dust, grease or spare particles. A sandblasting or a pressurized water (200 atm) application is recommended.

This can also be substituted sometimes by a mechanic brushing of the area or a manual brushing by means of a metallic teeth, etc. Morcem Dry PU Varnish U.V. is to be applied over the Morcemdry Pu system.

Instructions for use

  • Before mixing components A and B, shake component A by using a mechanical shaker at low revs. (< 600 rpm).
  • Later, pour component B on top of component A and keep stirring the mixture for 3 - 4 minutes until getting a homogeneous dough.
  • The ratio of the mixture A/B = 81/19
  • This product is generally applied using a roller or paint brush, but it may also be projected.

Cautions and recommendations

  • Cleaning of the tools will be carried out with solvents immediately after being used.
