Morcem® Yeso Controlado

Slow setting plaster for manual application, suitable for coating interior ceilings and walls, over all types of substrates. Its working time is regulated during the manufacturing process, ensuring a reduced waiting period and greater working time, leading to high productivity and excellent finish quality with high mechanical strength. Thanks to its porous structure, it provides good acoustic insulation. It also controls humidity, for optimal comfort indoors. It is non-combustible and provides good fire resistance.

Additional information

Features and applications

  • Quick, simple mixing system.
  • High mechanical strength.
  • Very easy to use.
  • High output due to its extended working time.
  • General masonry work.
  • Coating of walls and ceilings.
  • Filling and levelling of small holes.

Instructions for use

  • Sprinkle plaster powder onto the water until it no longer absorbs the water. Then mix plaster by hand to obtain a homogeneous paste. (water/plaster ratio = 0.8-1).
  • Once mixed, allow plaster to rest for about 10 to 15 minutes and start to plaster.
  • The working time is approximately 15-20 minutes (depending on the conditions of use), and the approximate re-plastering time is about 10 minutes.
  • The thickness may vary between 1 and 2 cm.

Cautions and recommendations

  • Do not add any kind of additives that could alter the setting process or the final strength of the product.
  • Do not add water after letting the product rest, since this may affect the product's final strength.
  • Be sure to clean tools thoroughly prior to further batch mixing.
  • Facings must be free from dirt, saltpetre, and efflorescence to ensure perfect plaster adhesion.
  • Use clean water between 5°C and 40°C.
  • Ensure that there is adequate ventilation for an optimal drying process.
