Additional information

Composition

Product made wirh epoxy resin and a polyamine hardener.

Features and applications

  • Good chemical and mechanical strength.
  • Good resistance to abrasion.
  • Hardens without retraction.
  • Excellent adhesion on most construction materials (concrete, natural stone, porous ceramic tiles, mortar, brick, wood, polyester, iron, aluminium).
  • Thixotropic, application on vertical surfaces and ceilings.
  • Epoxy adhesive for ELASTIC MEMBRANE PVC
  • High-strength adhesive for solid materials.
  • Filling of stable cracks / crevices.
  • Leveling superficial defects like holes, gaps.
  • Shaping the edges of concrete or metal joints with no movement.
  • Restoring edges and sides in mortar and concrete.

Substrates

  • The substrate should be sound, clean, free of grease, oil, dust and friable parts. It should be structurally solid.
  • Mortars and concretes should be more than 28 days old, and the cement grout should be removed from the surface to open the pores and improve adhesion.
  • Suitable for dry or slightly damp surfaces (maximum moisture content of 4%).
  • Remove the oxide layer from metal surfaces.

Instructions for use

MIXING:

  • Stir each component before mixing them to get rid of sludge. Pour component B into component A, ensuring that both are fully mixed and that the correct proportions are used.
  • Mix them together mechanically at low speed for 3 minutes (less than 300 rpm), until the mixture is a homogenous grey color.
  • Avoid air entrapment during mixing.
  • Partial mixing is never recommended.

APPLICATION:

  • Avoid water and moisture on the surface before applying the adhesive.
  • Apply the product with a spatula, jagged trowel or manually directly on the surface.
  • If it is being used to fill or level surfaces, the maximum thickness recommended is 25 mm per coat.
  • If it is being used as an adhesive to bond metal elements, press evenly and maintain this pressure for 10 hours. Check the adhesion properly once this time has passed.

Cautions and recommendations

  • Do not mix at temperatures below +10ºC or above +30ºC.
  • Do not leave the mixture or the components separately in direct sunlight.
  • After opening the container, use the product as soon as possible, because its useful life is considerably reduced.
  • If working at high temperatures, the components can be cooled before mixing them (not lower than 10ºC) to increase the pot life of the mixture.
  • The applied product does not change shape during the curing process.
  • Do not apply on damp substrates (moisture content of more than 4%).
  • Do not add any substance to the mixture that may affect the properties of the product.
  • Epoxy-based product that can irritate the skin, so wearing gloves, protective glasses and safety overalls is always recommended.
  • All tools and utensils should be cleaned with a solvent immediately after use. If the material hardens, it will have to be removed by mechanical means.
  • Consult the Technical Department for any application not specified in this Technical Datasheet.
  • For further information regarding the safe handling, transport, storage and use of the product, check the label and the latest version of the Product Safety Datasheet.

Technical data

(Statistical data obtained under standard conditions)

Appearance Mixture grey
Density Approx. 1.8 g/cm³
Adhesion to dry concrete according to UNE-EN 1542 Exceeds its cohesion
Adhesion to steel UNE-EN 12188 > 10 N/mm²
Compressive strength according to UNE-EN 12190 > 60 N/mm²
Resistance to flexotraction according to UNE-EN 12190 > 35 N/mm²
Useful life of the mixture at 21ºC 1.5 hr
Complete curing process 7 days
Minimum temperature for application 10°C
Yield 1.8 Kg/m²/mm of thickness

NOTE: Chemical and mechanical strengths are only fully achieved after a curing period of 7 days at 21ºC. The mechanical properties of epoxy resins decrease at temperatures higher than 60ºC.
