Additional information

Composition

Product based on special cements, selected aggregates and additives.

Features and applications

  • Indoor floor levelling.
  • High mechanic resistance.
  • Good superficial hardness.
  • Easy to apply.
  • Excellent fineness.
  • Excellent levelling qualities.
  • Up to 5 mm thickness.

Substrates

  • Concrete, mortar flooring and similar elements.
  • Substrates must be resistant, stable, sound and clean, free of dust, demolding agents, organic products, etc.
  • Apply Paviland Primer R to avoid the formation of air bubbles in the cladding and in order to improve its adherence to the substrate according to the instructions given in the technical data sheet of the product.
  •  If necessary prepare the substrate mechanically so that the surface if free from grout and has the appropriate porosity.
  •  Before applying NIVELAND 5, any possible hollows and cracks should be adequately repaired using the Paviland or Morcem Rest adequate product, according to the nature of the substrate and the type of reparation  required.
  •  Before applying the paste, make sure that residual moisture is below the recommended proportion (less than 3%).

Instructions for use

  • Let the mixture stand for 2 minutes and remix.
  • The manipulation time of the paste is 20 minutes, depending on the weather conditions.
  • Pour the mixed product on the base to be set and spread with a levelling trowel.
  • The recommended thickness is 2 – 5 mm. applied in one coat.

Cautions and recommendations

  • Do not apply below 5ºC nor above 30ºC.
  • Do not apply when there is a risk of frost, rain, strong wind or direct sunlight.
  • Do not apply on humid floors or when there is a risk of humidity.
  • Do not add water once it starts to harden.
  • Do not apply outdoors.
  • On surface areas greater than 20 m², it is advisable to make partition joints (of 6mm minimum), filling them with an elastic material, such as PUMALASTIC MS or PU.
  •  Movement joints on the original substrate must be respected and permiteral joints made.
  • The surface coat should be protected against an extremely fast drying, specially under high temperatures or heavy winds conditions.
  • Before placing the final pavement, you should check the residual humidity of the floor and confirm it is adequate for the type of flooring to be installed.
