Paviland® Sport AC Top

Paint based on acrylic resins in water, micronized fillers and pigments, of a single component, which acts as a decorative, finishing and sealing layer in sports flooring systems and cementitious, concrete and asphalt substrates. This flooring product has an aesthetic finish, easy application, and great durability. Good resistance to ultraviolet rays, as it does not discolor. Water-based product useful for indoor and outdoor areas.

Substrates

  • The substrate must be durable, stable, sound and clean, free of dust, form release agents (e.g. paint stripper), organic products, etc.
  • Direct application to concrete and cement  substrates: must be of the adequate resistance, with open pores and slight roughness. Prior to application, any imperfections and/or cracks that may be present in the base materials should be suitably repaired using our range of PAVILAND or MORCEM REST products. Milling and/or sanding of the base material is recommended in order to open the pores and descale bonded materials, such as grease, paint, etc. The residual moisture of the base material must not exceed 4%.
  • Direct application on asphalt substrates: they must have adequate resistance, open pore and slight roughness. Prior to application, the cracks and / or fissures that may be found in the support must be adequately repaired using the products from our PAVILAND ASFALTO range. Milling and / or sanding of the support is recommended in order to open the pore and descale adhered materials: grease, paints, etc. The residual humidity of the support should not exceed 4%.
  • PAVILAND SPORT AC system on concrete  substrates: The prior application of PAVILAND SPORT EPW PRIMER is required (consult the corresponding technical specifications for correct assessment of the concrete), as well as the regularisation layer of PAVILAND SPORT AC BASE and the intermediate layer of PAVILAND SPORT AC FINISH, which must be dry.
  • PAVILAND SPORT AC system on asphalt substrates: The prior application of PAVILAND SPORT AC BASE is required (consult the corresponding technical specifications for correct assessment of the asphalt base), as well as the PAVILAND SPORT AC FINISH intermediate layer, which must be dry.

Instructions for use

  • This product comes ready for direct application. Must be mixed with an appropriate mixer at low speed for approximately two minutes before application.
  • When applied on low porosity surfaces the application of a first layer diluted with water in a 1:10 weight ratio is recommended. After this, apply one or two additional non-diluted coats.
  • Application of two coats of the product should be sufficient for bases with regular absorbency, or when adding a layer on top of the intermediate PAVILAND SPORT AC FINISH layer.
  • The product is applied with a roller or rubber scraper.
  • Repainting or refinishing should only be done after the previous coat has dried – after 3–5 hours, under standard conditions.

Cautions and recommendations

  • Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C
  • nor above 30°C.
  • Do not apply when there is a risk of frost, rain, strong winds or direct sunlight.
  • This product is not suitable for painting swimming pools, ponds, or areas that are in permanent contact with water.
  • Do not apply excessively thick coats under any circumstances.
  • Wear protective gloves and goggles during the application. In the event of direct contact with the eyes, wash with plenty of soap and water, and seek the advice of your doctor.
  • In the event of contact with the skin, wash with water before the product dries.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.
  • clean all the equipment and tools with water immediately after its use. Once the product has hardened, it will only be possible to clean such equipment and tools mechanically.
  • Do not eat or smoke during the handling of the product.
  • All empty containers must be discarded in accordance with the current legislation.

Packaging

Containers of 20 kg.
The product can be stored for up to one year in its original sealed containers, in a dry and well-ventilated area, at temperatures between 10°C and 30°C, and out of direct sunlight and protected from the elements.
