Technical Caracteristics

Acrylic copolymer based emulsion with very small particles, in aqueous emulsion.

Advantages and Uses

• TEXTUREFIX PLUS is particularly suitable for using as a primer before applying our coloured mortars PAVILAND PLUS, levelling pastes NIVELAND 3-5 Y 10R (horizontal substrates), MORCEM TEXTURE (vertical substrates) and generally any type of coloured, repair, or polished mortar, etc.
• As a primer on anhydrite substrates, prior to applying cement-based adhesive.
• Increases resistance to flexo-traction fractures as well as the system’s cohesion and permeability.
• High penetration of the substrate.
• Good adhesion, favouring the posterior application of the facing.
• Efficient homogenisation of the substrate's absorbance.
• Good cohesive capacity on inconsistent substrates.
• Outdoor use should be avoided if there is a risk of rain or ice.

Suitable Substrates

HORIZONTAL SUBSTRATES

• Substrates must be clean and free from grease, oil, oxides, remains of paint and loose or badly bonded parts.
• Spread the product directly with a sprayer, ensuring a uniform covering, without excessive accumulation of product and avoiding thick layers.

VERTICAL SUBSTRATES

• Substrates must be clean, dry and well bonded.
• Apply an undiluted coat of product with a brush, roller or spray gun.

Application Procedure

• Shake until the product is even.
• Dilute the product up to 50% according to the substrate's absorbency.
• Apply with a brush, roller or spray gun.
• Do not apply quantities that form a film or thick layers.
• Drying time to the touch: 60 minutes.
• Wait between 24 and 48 hours before applying mortar or cement glue.
• Clean work tools with water immediately after use. 
• On anhydrite, plaster and non-absorbent or similar substrates, use undiluted product as a treatment prior to applying mortar, levelling paste or cement glue.
• On substrates with a high absorbency level, dilute the product up to 50% prior to plastering.
• As a paint primer dilute the product up to 1-2 parts with water.

Recommendations

• Do not apply the product at ambient temperatures lower than 5ºC or higher than 35ºC.
• Do not apply if there is a risk of ice or rain, nor with a relative humidity higher than 85%. Do not apply in direct sunlight.
• It is advisable to wear gloves while handling the product.
• TEXTUREFIX PLUS is not toxic, hazardous or flammable in normal handling conditions. It is not necessary to use special safety measures and strictly adheres to the provisions set forth in the Occupational Risk Prevention Law.

Packaging and Storage

Packages of 5 and 25 L.
Shelf life: In sealed original packaging, sheltered from weather conditions and humidity and away from intense cold and heat: 2 years.
