Technical Caracteristics

Product based on high resistance cement, selected aggregates and additives.

Advantages and Uses

  • To be applied indoors.
  • Suitable for ceramic tiles with a medium-high absorption rate.
  • Non slip. Excellent initial adherence.
  • Tile setting according to the traditional method: no need to wet tiles or substrates thanks to its water-retaining capacity.
  • It reduces tolerance to substrate flatness. No need for plastering. Saves of materials and work force.

Suitable Substrates

  • Conventional cement and brickwork based substrates.
  • Substrates must be resistant, stable, sound and clean, free of dust, demolding agents, organic products, etc.
  • In case of hot or windy weather conditions or when applying over absorbent substrates, it is advisable to wet the substrate and wait till the thin layer of water disappears.
  • Do not apply on clay or on paint.
  • For additional beddings do not exceed a total of 20mm thickness. Do not apply the tile adhesive before 48 hours.

Application Procedure

  • Add water and mix by hand or mechanically until it takes on an even and workable consistency.
  • Let the mixture stand for 5 minutes and remix.
  • Apply as usual making ensuring that the tile well pressed-on. Better results are obtained applying a first thin coat directly on the brick.
  • On floorings, apply the product onto the substrate, extending it with a trowel. Use double bonding for large format tiles.
  • Observe construction joints (expansion, contraction, fraction, perimeter corner joints) and the joints between the cement slabs (minimum 2mm).
  • Wait 24-48 hours before grouting the joints. Use the appropriate mortar from the MORCEMCOLOR range depending on the type of joint.

Recommendations

  • Do not apply below 5ºC nor above 30ºC.
  • Do not apply when there is a risk of frost, rain, strong wind or direct sunlight.
  • Do not apply in areas where water may accumulate.
  • On floor areas larger than 30 m2, leave partition joints to be filled with a flexible material.
  • On interior floorings larger than 15 m2, it is advisable to keep a free perimeter expansion joint between the floor and the wall or pillar, hidden by a baseboard.
  • In order to achieve a perfect setting of the material, avoid stepping on the tiles for 3 or 4 days after its application.
  • Maximum weight on vertical surfaces 20 Kg/m2.
