Advantages and Uses

• Use this product to reinforce the inferior part of the MORCEM COVER system in existing joints in slabs or concrete elements, also in overlaps in metal parts.
• The non-woven backing allows the butyl complex to adapt the shape of the substrate and allows applications of adhesives or mortars.
• For waterproofing the joints between horizontal and vertical surfaces in terraces, bathrooms and showers, guaranteeing excellent adherence to the subsequent waterproofing system chosen.
• This band is a complementary product to the elastic waterproofing systems of the DRY range such as Morcemdry SF PLUS, Morcemdry F.
• Waterproofing of the joint angles between floors and walls of terraces, balconies and bathrooms.
• Do not apply in situations with negative pressures.
• Do not apply on substrates with humidity levels higher than 4%, for higher humidity levels apply IMPLAREST EPW beforehand.

Application Procedure

• Substrates must be clean, dry, free of dust and grease or incompatible materials with the sealant (asphalt, tar, etc.), as well as any other product that may impair the perfect adherence of the adhesive strip.
• Verify the compatibility of the putty with the substrate in terms of adhesion and chemicals by controlling the temperature of use of the product.
• Separate the butyl protector, place the product on one of the elements avoiding the formation of air pockets. Present and press the butyl compressing it to ensure good sealing and adhesion.
• When the product has to overlap, respect a safety length of 5 cm.
• Non-woven support can be painted, however the paints used must be compatible with its chemical nature .
• Butyl putties are solvent sensitive.
• Finally, proceed to waterproof the support using an elastic product, either Morcem Elastic PM or the DRY range.
• BANDTEC can be applied on concrete supports, bricks and concrete blocks, as long as they are free of edges and roughness.

The product will be preserved for 5 years, as long as the product is well stored, in its box between 5ºC and 3O ºC, protected from heat sources.

In the event of a claim, the original packaging must be provided to ensure proper product traceability.
