Technical Characteristics

Product based on aerial lime and hydraulic binders, selected aggregates and additives.

Advantages and Uses

  • Suitable for interior and exterior areas.
  • Suitable option for both new work areas or renovations
  • High permeability to water vapour and rainproof.
  • Enhances living indoor conditions.
  • It can be applied manually or using spay machine.
  • Especially indicated for finishing surfaces scraped or floated.
  • Good adherence to substrate.
  • Excellent workability, easy application.
  • Application thickness between 10 to 20 mm.
  • Colour range available.

Suitable Substrates

  • Brick, concrete block and AAC block , as well as conventional cementitious substrate with a certain porosity.
  • Substrates must be resistant enough, stable, healthy and clean. Free of dust, release agents, organic products, etc.
  • Compatibility between the substrate’s resistance and the mortar used should be taken into account.
  • In case of heavy heat, wind or very absorbent substrates, it is advisable to dampen the substrate and wait until the water film is totally absorbed.
  • Avoid application on top of paint.

Application Procedure

SPRAY MACHINE APPLICATION

  • Adjust  the optimum water ratio according to the selected machine and the external weather conditions.
  • Project the render onto the substrate, keeping a consistent application, as that may affect the final finish of the render (distance from the wall, angle of application and proportion of water).

MANUAL APPLICATION

  • Add water and mix mechanically until a homogeneous and easy-to-work-with consistency is achieved.
  • Spread the product on the substrate with a trowel.
  • For a good practice apply a 2-3 mm thick rush coat, make sure it is well compacted, to seal the substrate, then lay the rest of the material.

Allow the render to set adequately before floating, smoothing or scrapping, depending on the required surface finish

Recommendations

  • Application temperature from 5ºC to 35ºC.
  • Avoid application under the risk of frost, rain, heavy wind or direct sun light.
  • Treat all critical details (slab edges, columns, window corners, etc.) with fiberglass mesh reinforcement embedded in the middle of the render thickness to help prevent cracking.
  • In areas of low absorption, it is recommended to use a suitable primer such as Implafix (see technical sheet).
  • Carry out a good design of joints, providing expansion, structural and any other necessary joints.
  • Under extreme weather conditions (heavy wind or high temperatures) it is necessary to dampen the product after its application.
  • For thicknesses greater than 20 mm, it is recommended to apply the product in two layers. It is advisable to place an intermediate mesh, always resistant to alkalis.
  • The final minimum thickness of the final layer must be at least 10 mm to ensure permeability to rainwater.

Packaging and Storage

  • 25Kg of laminated paper sacks.
  • Store up to 1 year in its original closed container, away from extreme weather conditions and humidity.
