Additional information

Advantages and Uses

  • Stainless - Will not be stained by most foods, beverages, and cleaning agents.
  • Easy maintenance. Smooth texture, easier to clean.
  • Provides excellent chemical resistance to many acids, alkalis, and corrosives.
  • Provides hygienic, hard wearing and abrasion resistant surface.
  • Water-resitant property.
  • Durable. Will not peel, crack or powder.
  • Excellent mechanical property and highly resistant to heavy traffic.
  • Easy to use.
  • No noxious odor, nonflammable, water cleanable.
  • Stable and uniform coloring for all types of tiles.

Suitable Substrates

  • All types of ceramic tile, glazed tiles, porcelain tiles, vitrified tiles, natural stones*, large format tiles, glass mosaic tiles, composites  & engineered stone.
  • Floor and walls of internal and external area*,
  • Dry, wet area, and water submerged area.
  • Food, pharma and hygiene required areas.
  • Area containing aggressive chemicals*,
  • Heavy traffic and movement areas, domestic applications, commercial applications, wider tile joints.
  • The adhesive or mortar remains  between joints must be eliminated.

*Note: 1. For highly absorbent natural stones/ marbles which may form a wet or colored patch when tile gout is applied, do sample test to check for possible staining.

Application Procedure

  • Adequately shake the bottle of hardener before use to ensure uniform consistency.
  • Mix the resin in bucket gently using a spatula.
  • Slowly add the hardener into the resin while mixing at a low speed (150–200 rpm) using a hand drill mixer.
  • Scrape the sides of the bucket with a spatula during mixing to ensure complete and homogeneous blending.
  • Avoid entraining air by maintaining low mixing speed and do not over-mix.
  • Allow the mixture to rest (slake) for 1–2 minutes, then remix briefly.
  • The grout is ready to use and should be applied within 45–60 minutes of mixing at a temperature of 25–30°C.
  • Pot life will reduce at elevated temperatures, so plan accordingly.
  • Ensure the correct quantity of hardener is mixed with the resin—each pack contains the exact amount required.
  • Always mix the full quantity of resin and hardener provided in the pack; part mixing is not allowed or recommended.
  • Use a hard rubber grout float to press the grout firmly into the joints.
  • Hold the float at a 90° angle and move it diagonally at 45° to the joints to avoid pulling grout out.
  • Work in small sections to maintain control and efficiency.
  • For application in external areas, ensure substrate temperature is not above 40°C. At higher temperatures, the pot life of grout is reduced, causing application errors.
  • Avoid grouting at elevated temperatures.
  • Remove excess grout from tile surfaces using the edge of the float in diagonal strokes.
  • Ensure joints are filled and grout is not just sitting on the surface.
  • For optimal performance, grout should be filled to the full depth of the tile. If full-depth application is not feasible, a minimum of 75% of the tile thickness is recommended.

CLEANING AND FINISHING

  • Begin cleaning within 30–45 minutes of application, before the grout dries.
  • Sprinkle a small amount of clean water on the surface.
  • Use a damp sponge in circular motions (both clockwise and counterclockwise) to remove grout residue.
  • Avoid pulling grout out of joints during cleaning.
  • Clean tools and containers with clean water while grout is still fresh.

Recommendations

  • For highly absorbent natural stones/ marbles which may form a wet or colored patch when tile grout is applied, do sample test to check for possible staining.
  • In case of resin absorption, the dark stains may form on the sides and on the surface of the slabs and they can’t be removed. This problem is usual for marbles/ stone of light colors.
  • Consult technical department for recommendations on exterior applications. Light colors may darken slightly & turn yellowish due to direct UV exposure.
  • Change frequently the wash water.
  • Change frequently the felt and the sponge if they are impregnated with product.
  • Do not tread on the newly applied surface to avoid staining the pavement with resin residues.
  • Do not cover with fabrics or other materials recently applied to prevent the condensation formation that would result from the superficial carbonation product altering its uniformity color. Wait about 24-48 hours depending on the temperature before protecting the surface.
  • Do not mix the product with water or solvents.
  • With  ceramic tiles pressed by compaction and with a similar surface of  wood  it can be difficult to remove the spots. In this case , it is recommended to do a previously test or to consult to the technical department.
  • Do not use the product for applications not listed in this technical data sheet.

*The coverage mentioned in table is indicative only and can vary as per the tile size, thickness, joint width wastage during application.

FORMULA FOR THE COVERAGE CALCULATION:

C = 1.65 x H x T x [(L + W) / (L x W)]

C = Tile grout coverage (Kg/m²)

H = thickness of tile (mm)

L = length of tile (mm)

T = width of joint (mm)

W = width of tile (mm)
