Paviland® Pronto 80

Mortar for bases creation with subsequent placement of other coatings such as parquet, carpet, ceramic, etc. Its fast drying feature allows the application of ceramics within 24 hours, as well as the execution of other types of work with notable time savings compared to other conventional mortars. Suitable for pedestrian traffic and underfloor heating, allowing different application thicknesses: between 20 and 40mm for bonded screed, and between 40 and 80 mm for floating screed.

Technical Caracteristics

Product based on hydraulic binders, selected aggregates and additives.

Advantages and Uses

  • Easy to apply
  • High mechanic resistance.
  • Soil screed between 20-80 mm.
  • Interior and exterior flooring screed.
  • Pedestrian traffic, without the use of forklifts. Not subjected to impacts.
  • Occasional traffic of light vehicles with soft wheels up to a maximum speed of 10 km / h.
  • Suitable for radiant heating floors.

Suitable Substrates

  • Concrete, cementitious screeds, of adequate resistance, and other similar substrates.
  • The substrate must be resistant, stable, healthy and clean, free of dust, traces of release agents, organic products, etc.
  • If necessary, the substrate must be prepared by mechanical means, so as to get a surface without superficial grouts with an adequate porosity.
  • Prior to the application of PAVILAND PRONTO, the cracks  that may be found in the substrate must be adequately repaired using the products from the PAVILAND or MORCEMREST range, depending on the nature of the substrate and the type of repair to be carried out.
  • Apply a primer grout layer with Portland cement (resistance class between 32.5-42.5), COMPAC PUMA and water. Suggestion of dosage by weight: 3 parts of cement, 1 of COMPAC PUMA and 2 of water.
  • Before its application, make sure that the residual humidity is bellow the recommended one (less than 3.5%).

Application Procedure

  • t is recommended to mechanically knead full bags with 8% water (approximately 2 liters of water per 25 kg bag), until a semi-dry consistency is achieved, which allows the creation of a cohesive ball that does not crumble when pressing the mortar with the hand.
  • The exact dosage of water is very important to guarantee all the properties of the mortar.
  • The pot life of the paste is about 30 minutes, depending on the environmental conditions.
  • Pour the mixture onto the laying substrate and spread it with a levelling trowel.
  • Compress and float the material until the desired finish is achieved
  • The maximum recommended thickness is 40 mm applied in a single coat.
  • Respect structural joints and execute perimeter and partition joints. In no case should panels of 40 m2 indoors and 20 m2 outdoors be exceeded.
  • PAVILAND PRONTO 80 is designed to be always covered, so it is not recommended for visible use.
  • The surface layer has to be protected from too fast drying avoiding the dehydration of the mortar, especially under high temperature and / or strong wind conditions, it is advisable to use  protection and / or curing resins from the PAVILAND RESINA range for this purpose.

Recommendations

  • Do not apply the product under extreme weather conditions.
  • Do not apply under risk of frost, strong winds or direct sun.
  • Do not apply on floors with humidity or possibility of having it.
  • Use gloves, face mask and goggles when manipulating the product. Keep away from children.
  • Do not add any type of sand, cement or any other product that may modify the original formula.
  • Do not add additional water once the product has been mixed and its resting time has elapsed.
  • For floors with greater than the above recommended surfaces, or more than 10 linear meters, it is recommended to make partition joints, delimiting panels, with joints of about 6 mm that can be filled with PUMALASTIC MS or PU.
  • The movement joints of the original substrate must be respected and perimeter joints carried out.
  • The surface layer has to be protected from too fast drying avoiding the dehydration of the mortar, especially under high temperature and / or strong wind conditions.
  • Before placing the final pavement the residual humidity of the screed must be checked make also sure you are applying the suitable one.

Packaging and Storage

25 kg plastic paper bags.
12 months storage in its original packaging, indoors and away from humidity.
