Additional information

Advantages and Uses

  • For binding rubber panels and flooring in children's play areas and continuous applications installed in-situ.
  • For creating surface layers in clear colours it is advisable to use ALIPHATIC RESIN.

Application Procedure

  • Before applying the binder, both the substrate or mould, as well as the aggregate or rubber to bind must be completely dry and free from any particles of dust, grease or other contaminating agents.
  • The reaction of the AROMATIC RESIN commences with atmospheric humidity or water vapour. The higher the temperature and % of environmental humidity, the faster the reaction time.

FOR APPLYING IN-SITU:

  • Pour the AROMATIC RESIN over the aggregate or rubber contained in the recipient used for mixing, homogenised with a low-speed mixer, or else by mixing manually for 2 -3 minutes until the correct consistency has been obtained.
  • In order to avoid undesired effects, avoid direct contact with water (rain, intense spraying) during the first 24 hours of curing as this can interfere with the reaction of the product.

LARGE-SCALE APPLICATIONS:

  • In order to guarantee top performance and quality for large-scale use, please consult our technical department on the correct temperatures, condition of moulds and type of demoulding agents to be used.

For any sprayed applications please consult our technical department.

Recommendations

  • Apply at least 13% of AROMATIC RESIN to shredded rubber chippings for the base layer. The dosage will vary according to particle size and desired compaction.
  • Apply at least 15% of AROMATIC RESIN to shredded rubber chippings for the surface layer. The dosage will vary according to particle size and desired compaction.
  • For flooring with thicknesses lower than 22 mm it is essential to apply a primer. Please consult our technical department who will advise you on the best options, according to your requirements.
  • For surfaces subjected to heavy foot traffic or strong loads, please consult our technical department on the type of application and maximum thickness per layer.
  • Work tools should be cleaned with a solvent immediately after use.

Packaging and Storage

In opaque plastic container with net weight of 25 kg.
Store in the original unsealed packaging without between a temperature of 15 - 25ºC in a dry, well-ventilated place. The product has a useful life of 6 months.

Dosage table

The dosage must be previously checked as the porosity or type of aggregate or mineral could require varying percentages. The following table shows the approximate % for creating decorative surfaces (for guidance purposes only).

DOSAGE TYPES
3.5 - 4% For non-porous stones of a diameter of 50 mm or above
4 - 4.5% For non-porous stones of a diameter between 5 and 50 mm
> 4.5% For non-porous stones of a diameter less than 5 mm
13% For rubber chips pavements applied in situ (base coat)
15% For rubber chips pavements applied in situ (finish coat)
