Traditerm® Flexible

Maximum flexibility mortar, for insulation panels coating (TRADITERM PANEL EPS and TRADITERM PANEL EPS-G) in exterior thermal insulating System TRADITERM® FLEXIBLE, and as cladding reinforcement of OSB type wooden panels. The TRADITERM® FLEXIBLE has excellent impact resistance and is impervious to rainwater. At the same time, it is ideal for use within the external thermal insulation system, is free of cement and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.

Technical Caracteristics

Water based product made of binding agents based on acrylic polymers, mineral loads and additives such as  defoamers, preservatives and thickeners.  Free from plasticizers.

Advantages and Uses

  • Free from cement.
  • Maximum flexibility.
  • Great resistance to impacts.
  • Waterproof to rainwater
  • Permeable to water vapour.
  • Ready to use.
  • Outdoors and indoors use.

Application Procedure

  • With the help of a mixer, stir the product to ensure its homogeneity.
  • Minimum 24 hours after placing the reinforcing profiles and after the hollow corners (windows and doors) have been reinforced with MALLA TRADITERM (40x20cm), spread on the insulating panel a layer of TRADITERM FLEXIBLE mortar and comb it afterwards with a notched trowel (8mm).
  • Onto the combed r mortar, spread, from up to down, the MALLA TRADITERM, and squash the furrows pressing with the trowel. Cover the mesh with the protruding TRADITERM FLEXIBLE mortar. Even if the mesh is fully covered, the grids should be marked. This layer should have around 1,0-1,5 mm thickness.
  • Meshes should be overlapped with a minimum of 10cm.
  • Once the layer has gained a certain resistance (3-4 hours after), a new TRADITERM FLEXIBLE mortar layer of 1,0 mm will be applied in order to cover the grids of the mesh and finish the coated surface.
  • After 72 hours minimum, we will proceed with the decorative finish, applying FONDO MORCEMCRIL and any of the following claddings afterwards From the morcem range MORCEMCRIL.

Recommendations

  • Do not apply the product under 5ºC nor above 35ºC.
  • Do not apply the product under risk of frost, rain, heavy winds or direct sun radiation.
  • Do not apply it in areas where there might be  any risk of stagnant water.
  • Respect the curing timings.
  • Ready to use product, do not alter its composition.
  • Under low temperatures and high humidity, the drying time may take longer.
  • The cleaning of the tools should be done with abundant water immediately after being used.
  • It is not advisable to be used as an adhesive for insulating panels.
  • Do not apply it on humid surfaces.
  • The substrate should be clean, dry and cohesive and without any efflorescenses.
  • It is not designed for being coated with plaster.
  • Any other use which has not been described in the actual Technical Data sheet will always be carried out under previous enquiry or expressed consent.
