Advantages and Uses

Profile designed as a solution for existing expansion joints in the substrate where the external TRADITERM® Exterior Thermal Insulation Systems (SATE/ETICS) is going to be installed.

Application Procedure

  • Apply MORCEM® THERM mortar over the insulation plates positioned on both sides of the expansion joint.
  • Position the fibreglass meshes over the mortar so that the profiles forming these elements are positioned over the corners parallel to the insulation plates forming the joint, in order that both reinforce the corner points of the expansion joint.
  • Introduce the elastic band inside the expansion joint.

Recommendations

  • Do not clad the existing expansion joints in the substrate with insulation plates. Use the expansion joint profile to resolve this particular point. 
  • Once the profile has been positioned, leave it to dry for at least 24 hours.

Boxes of 25 units. The profile must be stored horizontally.
