Morcemrest® Anticarbonatación E

Waterproof coating with high elasticity based on an aqueous dispersion of self-crosslinking acrylic resins by UV rays, suitable for protection and decoration of all kind of material façades (concrete, cement, brick, etc.) giving the support an excellent resistance to the most thus obtaining a top quality finish and in which contractions of the facing are foreseen that may cause cracks.
Preserves concrete structures from degradation caused by atmospheric agents as well as façades, precast elements, beams, pillars, etc.

Additional information

Advantages and Uses

  • Excellent covering power.
  • Extraordinary resistance to ageing.
  • Completely impervious to rain water.
  • It lets air and water vapour go through.
  • No yellowing index.
  • Maximum cleanability. Self-cleaning by the simple action of rain.
  • Good resistance to alkalinity of the substrate.
  • Resistant to open sky and U.V. rays.
  • Great flexibility against the contractions of the substrate.
  • It reduces CO2 diffusion.
  • It protects concrete elements against carbonation acording to EN 1504-2:2004.
  • Good homogenization of the product and easy application.
  • CE Certificate
  • Declaration of conformity available.

Suitable Substrates

NEW SURFACES:

  • Wait until its hardening process is fully completed (minimum 3 days)
  • Remove dust, grease, or any type of dirt.
  • Clean the substrate of foreign products or remains of construction materials.
  • Any possible efflorescence can be treated with ANTISALMOR
  • Apply a layer of FIJAMOR diluted with 2-3 parts of water, to fix and equalize the absorption of the substrate,
  • if necessary.
  • Apply the paint according to the instructions given.

OLD SURFACES:

  • On painted substrates, the solidity and anchorage of the paint should be checked and diagnosed, if possible, its nature in order to avoid possible incompatibilities.
  • Treat mouldy substrates with bleach or other suitable disinfectant.
  • Remove dust, dirt and poorly adhered paint residues.
  • Level any irregularity with an adequate plaster. let it dry  and sand it down.
  • Apply a layer of FIJAMOR diluted with 2-3 parts of water, to fix and equalize the absorption of the substrate,
  • Apply the paint according to the instructions given.

Application Procedure

  • Stir the product until getting a homogeneous mixture.
  • Dilute the first layer between 5 - 10% of water.
  • Apply a second layer without dilution.
  • Clean any used tool with water before the paint dries.
  • The application can be done by brush, roller, airless or airbrush gun, after stirring the
  • product and the corresponding dilution.
  • Equipment cleaning should be done with water, before the paint gets dried.

Recommendations

  • Do not apply at temperatures below 5ºC or above 30ºC
  • Do not apply it under relative humidities superior to 85% nor on top of wet substrates.
  • Thickness of 250 wet microns are recommended.
  • Storing: In its tightly closed original packaging, in reserved cool and dry places away from open sly or direct sun light  and preventing it from being exposed to temperatures below 5ºC or higher than 35ºC.

Packaging and Storage

20 Kg RAL 7032 containers, 15L containers for the rest of the colors
Storage for up to 2 years in its well-closed original container, in cool, dry places away from the elements or direct sunlight, and avoiding exposure to temperatures below 5ºC or above 35ºC.
