Technical Caracteristics

Product based on special cements, selected aggregates and corrosion inhibitor (Silanes functional organ), reinforced with fibre.

Advantages and Uses

  • R4 type repair mortar according to EN-1504-3. Passivation mortar according to 1504-7.

  • Great adhesion to concrete and corrugated steel. Fast setting.
  • Paintable after 4 hours.
  • Thixotropic, without detach in ceilings application. Permeable to water vapour.
  • Weather resistant.
  • Good resistance to chloride.

  • Compensated retraction to minimize cracking risk.

Suitable Substrates

  • Substrates must be healthy, clean and free of greases, oils dust and bad adhered pieces (1.5 Mpa resistance to minimal traction).
  • If necessary, carry out a preparation process of the substrate, preferably using mechanical means, and leave the healthy concrete uncovered.
  • The absorbent substrates will be previously moistened until saturated, avoiding water-logging. Apply MORCEMSEAL FAST TODO 1 once the surface is completely matt. 
  • Any existent reinforcements must be free of rust, greases, oils and any other bad adhered particles.
  • If rusted, carry out a sand blasting cleaning or use a metal spikes brush.
     

Application Procedure

Mixture of the mortar:

  • Add 2/3 parts of the water and progressively add all of the powder while stirring. Add the rest of the water and mix for two more minutes. Do not prepare material for more than 20 minutes (at 20ºC).

Application:

  • Apply MORCEMSEAL FAST TODO 1 with a trowel, pressing to ensure its adhesion and compact the material firmly.
  • MORCEMSEAL FAST TODO 1 can be applied in several layers, with a minimum thickness of 4 mm per coat. On vertical surfaces, thicknesses of up to 40 mm can be applied without the help of framework.

Curing:

  • Protect from wind, frost and sun during hardening. To avoid excessive drying, it is convenient to cover the surface with wet burlap or plastic during its curing.
  • Curing process is always required.
     

Recommendations

  • Do not add more water than the one recommended to the mortar. Do not mix again.
  •  Do not apply below 5ºC or above 30ºC.
  • Do not add cement, sand nor any other substances that may affect the properties of the material.
  • On substrates exposed to exceptional circumstances it is advisable to use the epoxy base adherence bridge IMPLAREST EP.
  • The supplies and tools will be cleaned with water immediately after use, to avoid hardening of the material, which will have to be removed by mechanical means.
  • In very difficult repairs or under aggressive environmental conditions, please check with our technical department.

  • In manual applications, compact strongly between layers; In areas of difficult compaction, it is advisable to carry out a mechanical process.
  • For more information regarding the preparation of concrete or steel reinforcement, consult the recommendations given by the UNE – EN – 1504 – 10 standard.
  • When applying the repair mortar without a bonding bridge, the concrete substrate must be rough, clean and previously well moistened, although the surface must be free of water at the time of application, that is, the substrate must not be waterlogged. The repair mortar must be applied by making it penetrate in the previously prepared substrate.  It must be compacted, avoiding the inclusion of air to obtain the required resistance, and to protect the reinforcement from corrosion.
     

Packaging and Storage

MORCEMSEAL FAST TODO 1 is provided in 25 Kg sacks.
Storage up to 6 months in its original closed packaging, sheltered from open air and humidity.
