Technical Caracteristics

Product based on aerial lime and hydraulic binders, selected aggregates and additives.

Advantages and Uses

  • Interior and exterior application.
  • Suitable for both, new construction and rehabilitation.
  • High permeability to water vapour and impermeability against rain.
  • Improvement of habitability.
  • Manual or mechanical application.
  • Smooth and trowelled finish.
  • Great adherence.
  • Excellent workability, its high plasticity facilitates the execution of the work at any time.
  • Between 5 to 10 mm application thickness.

Suitable Substrates

  • Mortar plaster, or other substrates of a similar mineral nature with a certain degree of porosity.
  • The substrate must be resistant, stable, healthy and clean, free of dust, remnants of release agents, organic products, etc.
  • The compatibility of the resistance of the substrate with that of the mortar to be used must be taken into account.
  • In case of heat, wind or on highly absorbent substrates, it is convenient to moisten the substrate and wait for the superficial shine of the water to disappear.
  • Do not apply the product on top of gypsum plasters or paint.

Application Procedure

MECHANICAL  APPLICATION

  • Establish, according to the chosen machine (section and hose length), external weather conditions and optimal water / mortar ratio.
  • It is very important to maintain the variables constant as they may affect the features of the applied mortar ( wall distance, application angle and water proportions).

MANUAL APPLICATION

  • Add water and mix it manually or mechanically  until getting a homogeneous  and workable consistence. Spread the mixed product with the help of a trowel on the substrate.
  • It is advisable to apply a well compacted first hand of 2 or 3 mm to seal the substrate, then spread the rest of the material.

Let it rest for the corresponding amount of time and then trowel or smooth the area according to the finish wanted.

Recommendations

  • Do not apply below 5ºC nor above 30ºC
  • Do not apply the product under extreme weather conditions.
  • Do not apply it under the risk of frost, rain, heavy winds or direct sun light.
  • Carry out an adequate treatment of singular points, such as slabs, pillars, window angles, etc., assembling the product with fibreglass mesh to avoid cracking, insert it in the central part of the thickness of the cladding.
  • In areas of low absorption it is recommended to use a suitable primer like IMPLAFIX, (see technical data sheet).
  • Carry out a good joint design, foreseeing expansion joints, structural ones, as well as those others that could be necessary.
  • Minimum application thickness of 5 mm; for a thickness greater to 1 cm it is recommended to apply the product in two layers. The minimum final thickness of a coating mortar must be at least 10 mm to ensure impermeability to rainwater depending on the components of the system on which it is applied.
  • In extreme weather conditions (high wind or high temperatures) it is necessary to gently spray the product with water the day after its application.
