Additional information

Technical Caracteristics

Product based on high resistance cement, aggregates, special additives, pigments and synthetic resins.

Advantages and Uses

  • High hardness.
  • Intense colour.
  • Easy to clean.
  • Thin texture.
  • Low water absorption.
  • Resistant to cracks and abrasion.
  • Suitable for interior and exterior use.
  • Suitable for radiant heating.

Suitable Substrates

  • Empty joints should be dry and clean along their entire length and depth.
  • The grouting must be done 24 hours after gluing on vertical walls and 48 h. after flooring gluing.
  • Before starting the process, PROTECMOR, temporary filler protects porous and non-porous ceramics from possible pigment stains.

Application Procedure

  • Add water and mix manually or mechanically until getting a consistent homogeneous paste (make sure it is not very liquid)
  • Let the paste rest around 5 min. then mix again.
  • When working in small areas, fill the joints with the help of a rubber trowel or rechargeable pistol, compacting the material firmly.
  • The application should be done diagonally from the joints, pressing the mass on them and removing the excess material.
  • Allow the material to dry for approximately 20 or 30 minutes. When the paste becomes opaque, the surface can be cleaned with a slightly damp hard sponge.
  • Clean the surface with a clean and dry cloth, once the product in the joints has completely harden.
  • Let it dry for at least 24 h. before normal use.
  • If any of the tiles remain stained, use DESMOR to clean them, taking into account not to damage the tiles or the joints (see operating instructions of the product).

Recommendations

  • Do not apply the product under 5ºC nor above 40ºC temperature
  • Do not apply under the risk of frost, rain, heavy wind or direct sun light.
  • Do not use the product in expansion or subjected to structural movements of the work joints.
  • In the case of highly absorbent tiles or high temperatures, before filling the joints, moisten them with clean water, passing a damp sponge over them, avoiding the puddle of water inside.
  • Empty the joints completely before applying any product during restoration processes.
  • Do not clean the area with abundant water, or before the material is completely hard, in order to avoid carbonation and colour loss on the surface.
