Morcem® Elastic PM AQUA
Morcem Elastic PM AQUA is a one-component elastic liquid membrane, 100% water-based polyurethane (free from acrylic resins and other additives).
Morcem Elastic PM AQUA forms a seamless, hydrophobic membrane, with no possibility of leaking. 100% waterproof.
Morcem Elastic PM AQUA is based on the innovative technology that permits long-chain polyurethane macromolecules to be incorporated into an aqueous medium, forming stable dispersion.
This technology has high level properties in the base product solvent, which are environmentally friendly.
By being water-based, it has a low VOC content.

The surface must be clean, dry, and free from contaminants, that could have an adverse affect on the bonding of the membrane. Maximum humidity should not be higher than 8%. Fresh concrete structures must be left to dry for at least 28 days prior to applying the membrane.
Old membranes, dirt, grease, oils, organic substances and dust must be removed mechanically. Any possible surfaces irregularities must be rectified. Any loose parts on the surface must be removed.
Repair expansion joints and cracks, as necessary. In case of doubt, please consult our technical department.

Instructions for use

Mixing the membrane:

  • Mix MORCEM ELASTIC PM AQUA with a low-speed electric mixer (less than 300 rpm).


  • Apply with roller, brush or airless spraying equipment. The nozzle of the spraying equipment must be 5/33“. No filters or suction fittings are required. All hoses must have a diameter of 3/8”. It is recommendable to use a conventional spray gun of 60/1.
  • Apply IMPLAREST EPW primer to neutralise any porosity and improve the membrane’s bond capacity to the substrate.
  • Apply the product in 2/3 coats with a total maximum thickness of 2 mm.
  • Drying time of 12 - 16 hours between coats. The total drying time must be respected.
  • Maximum thickness per coat 0.5 mm (dry).
  • For formed curves on corners, joints between wall and floor and other details, it is recommendable to apply a strip of Geotextil PU for reinforcement.


  • Protect from wind, frost and sun during the application and curing processes.


  • Tiled: in order to tile over the MORCEM COVER SYSTEM the grip performance must be improved by applying a third coat of MORCEM ELASTIC PM AQUA and while it is still fresh, spraying with silica sand (0.4-0.6); 400 gr/m2 approximately. Once this layer has dried, any remaining, un-bonded silica is removed, and then the bricks are fixed with PEGOLAND FLEX C2 TE S1.
  • Finishing varnish: applied directly to the finishing layer, providing UV resistance.
  • Aesthetic finishes with quartz: achieved by spraying coloured quartz over a third layer of MORCEM ELASTIC PM AQUA, with a post application of finishing varnish for protection.

Cautions and recommendations

  • Do not apply Morcem® Elastic PM AQUA in extreme temperatures or when there is an imminent risk or rain or frost in the 48 hours after applying.
  • For a better result, the temperature during application and curing should be between 5ºC and 35ºC.
  • Lower temperatures delay curing whereas higher temperatures accelerate it.
  • High humidity can affect the final finish.
  • Maximum precaution: Protect against frost/ice. 


Morcem® Elastic PM AQUA is supplied in containers of 20 and 3.75 kg. The product must be stored in a fresh, dry place for no longer than 18 months.
