Application Procedure

  • It must be added to the mixing system (concrete mixer truck or mechanical concrete mixer) as a concrete component.
  • After adding the fibres, the concrete must be mixed for a sufficient period of time (minimum 5 minutes) to ensure uniform distribution throughout the concrete.
  • Fibre-reinforced concrete can be pumped or applied using conventional equipment.
  • Depending on the predetermined concrete mix design, several dosage rates are available.

Recommendations

  • For its correct functioning, the concrete must be treated according to good practices, as its only function is to replace wire meshes. If aspects such as the correct formulation of the concrete, timing of shrinkage cuts, right thickness for the load, proper ground preparation to achieve a minimum ballast modulus of 2,500 T/m³, correct distances between cuts, placement of a sheet at the base of the screed, aiding in the curing of the concrete by applying curing resins or protection and curing, application of a bonding bridge between existing concretes, etc., are neglected, the fibre will not be able to function correctly.
  • Resistant to the alkalis present in concrete.
  • It does not leave any fibres on the concrete or mortars’ floors.
  • Compatible with all the concrete additives.
  • The cements used shall comply with the applicable standards, as well as the dosages used. 
  • It does not increase the spacing between shrinkage cuts.
  • It cannot replace metallic reinforcement in structural elements. (It cannot replace steel in compression layers, beams, etc.)

  • The use of PAVILAND FIBRA does not exempt the obligation to construct screeds in accordance with the corresponding regulations.
  • It is advisable to conduct the joints / shrinkage cuts within the first 24 hours after pouring the concrete to prevent the floor from subsequent cracking.
  • For the execution of levelling screeds, it is recommended to thoroughly clean the substrate and apply a primer beforehand.

Packaging and Storage

0.5 and 0.6 kg water-soluble bags.
Store in its original closed container, away from extreme weather conditions and moisture.
