Additional information

Features and applications

  • As an adhesive for carbon fiber sheets for structural reinforcement.
  • As an adhesive for steel plate.
  • Excelent adhesion: exceeds the coherence to the substrate.
  • Fast curing.
  • Filling of fissures / stable cracks/ wihtout movement.
  • Leveling of surface defects such as honeycombs, hollows, etc.
  • For shaping lips of concrete or metal joints without movement,
  • Renovation of edges, mortars and concrete.
  • Adhesive for elastic PVS membrane,
  • High resistance to abrasion and impact.
  • Curing without retraction.
  • High resistance
  • Easy to mix and apply.

Substrates

  • The surface to be treated must be clean, desgreased and free from dust in order to obtain an adequate adhesion.
  • On steel surfaces remove surface rust.
  • It is recommended the pore of the concrete to be open or create a slight surface roughness to ensure adhesion.
  • It is recommended to apply Implarest EPW when the quality of the concrete is insufficient.

Instructions for use

  • Stir each component before mixing in order to elimite grounds.
  • Add component B in its totality to component A. This ensures that the volumen ratio between component A and component B is correct.
  • Mix in a low velocity electric mixer (less tan 300 rpm) for about 3 minutes, until  getting a homogeneous gray mixture.
  • Avoid air bubbles.
  • Apply Adhesivo Carbotec Lámina with spatula.
  • The surface must be clean, dry and free from dust before apliying Adhesivo Carbotec Lámina.
  • It is preferred to apply the adhesive to the Carbotec carbón fiber sheet or steel plate.
  • Apply the adhesive in such a way that it is not flat and uniform, but thicker in the center (approx. 5mm) and progressively thinner at the ends (approx. 1 mm).
  • Press the Carbotec carbon fiber sheet or steel plate uniformly over the concrete to spread the adhesive. It is recommended to press with a hard rubber roller, which also removes air bubbles. Clean the excess adhesive before it hardens.
  • Keep the pressure on the carbón fiber until the adhesive has hardened sufficiently.
  • The final thickness of the adhesive coat is 1.5 mm to 2 mm.

Cautions and recommendations

  • Mixing and application equipment should be cleaned with solvent.
  • Remove hardened material by mechanical means.
  • Consult our Technical Department for any application that might not be specified in this Technical data sheet.
  • For additional information regarding the safe handling, transport, storage and use of the product, please refer to the label and the updated version of the product Safety data sheet.

Consumption according to dimensions (kg/m²)

Consult Lámina Carbotec technical data sheet.

Packaging

5 kg containers.
Keep it in its original packaging in a dry place with temperatures that may go from 5ºC to 30ºC. Once the container is opened, its service life is considerably reduced, so it should be used as soon as possible. Rotate the stored product so that is does not exceed the expiration date (1 year).
