Additional information

Composition

Special cement base product, selected aggregates and additives, reinforced with fibres.

Features and applications

  • Specially designed for the regularisation and restoration of façades avoiding the re- making of  the existent render.
  • Regulations for and renovation of ceramic surfaces or glass mosaics.
  • Regulations for and renovation of surfaces with top coats or existing mortar.
  • Regulations for painted surfaces – adhesive paints.
  • Regulations for smoothing of interior ceramic linings.
  • Great adherence to concrete, paints, ceramic, vitreous mosaic, one-coat mortars, plasterboard and regular plaster (With previous application of a primer like Texture Fix Plus).
  • Waterproof to rain water.
  • Permeable to water vapour.
  • Retraction compensated to decrease cracks risk.
  • Interior and exterior application.
  • Weather-resistant.
  • Great workability.
  • R1 according to EN 1504:-2

Substrates

  • Revise the substrate and remove the parts that are not well-adhered.The substrate should be healthy, clean, cohesive, and free from greases, oils dust and bad-adhered parts.
  • Absorbent substrates should be previously humidify until saturated avoiding water logging. Apply the product once the surface is completely matt.
  • In gaps angles, place Traditerm 20x40cm mesh and fix them with Morcem Renovex F mortar. The grids of the mesh, even if they are covered by the mortar, should be marked.

Instructions for use

Mortar preparation

Add 6-7 litres/water per each 25 kg bag; mix it with a mechanic mixer at low speed. You should get a homogeneous paste free from lumps. Do not prepare excessive material if it is not going to be used during the following 30 minutes (at+ 20ºC).

Application of the mortar

Apply Morcem Renovex F with a trowel, pressing, in order to assure the adherence and compact the material firmly.
On absorbent surfaces, spread a first layer of the product, adding extra pressure in order to remove any possible air inside the porous.
Once the mortar has been spread, it is advisable to comb it, with the help of a dented trowel of 6 mm in order to get a homogeneous spreading of the product along the surface.
In this first layer of Morcem Renovex R, soak the Traditerm mesh and smoothen it. Between adjacent meshes make overlaps of 10 cm. The maximum thickness of this first layer with the mesh should be below 3 mm.
Once the reinforced layer is dry, with the help of a trowel, we will proceed to add a second layer of Mocerm Renovex F.
The finish of this second layer can be done by a steel trowel, or a sponge.
The application of Morcem Renovex F (2 layer + Traditerm mesh reinforcement) should have a final thickness between 3 and 6 mm.
For interior applications, the same process should be carried out, however the Traditerm mesh is not necessary

Curing

During especially warm days, we suggest pulverizing water on top of the Traditerm Renovex F surface after 4 hours of its application and in the posterior days once the mortar has already harden, in order to avoid the apparition of cracks.

Finish

For the application of any of the possible finishes, it is necessary to wait a minimum of 48 hours after the application of the last coat of Morcem Renovex F.
The admissible finishes would be Gama Morcemcril, Gama Pumacril, Morcem Estuco Fino and Pumaplast (indoors).

Cautions and recommendations

  • Do not add to the mix more than the suggested water nor re-mix it.
  • Do not apply it with temperatures under 5ºC or above 35ºC.
  • Do not add cement, sand or any other substances that might affect the properties of the material.
  • The tools should be cleaned with water immediately after their use.
  • Consult our Technical Department for any application that might not be specified in this Data Sheet.
  • For further information regarding the safety in the handling, transport, storage and use of the product, consult the updated version of the Safety sheet of the product.

Packaging
