Additional information

Composition

Bi-component epoxy resin.

Features and applications

  • High mechanic and chemical resistance.
  • Low yellowing.
  • Excellent adherence.
  • Decorative transparent resin.
  • Multi-purpose: primer, main layer and sealing.
  • Mixed with PAVILAND CUARZO, it is possible to obtain a great variety of decorative pavements.
  • Shopping centres
  • Hotels
  • Museums and libraries.
  • Universities, schools and high-schools.
  • Restaurants and event saloons
  • Buildings and offices.
  • Car parks.
  • Marine and airport terminals.

Substrates

  • Concrete of adequate resistance (minimum compression of 25N/mm and traction of 1,5N/mm2 resistance) open porous and slight roughness. For other substrates please consult our technical department.
  • Substrates should be resistant, stable, sound and clean, free from dust, or any other kind of products.
  • Before any application, all imperfections and cracks should be previously repaired using the adequate product from our PAVILAND or MORCEM REST range.
  • It is advisable to sand the substrate with the aim of opening the porous and  descale the adhered materials such as greases, paint, etc.
  • The substrate should be completely dry.

Instructions for use

  • Homogenise component A.
  • Pour component B over component A and mix it with a suitable mixer, at low speed, until getting a homogeneous product.
  • Spread a first layer with a roll or using a metallic trowel in case of having mixed a mortar with a resin/arid relation of 1:05 or 1:1.5 with PAVILAND CUARZO 0,3.  The mixture of the arid with the resin is done by slowly adding first the arid to the hardening product while it is being homogenise with an electric mixer at a low speed in order to avoid the introduction of air in the mortar.
  • Spread the main layer of PAVILAND EP DEOR with a metallic notched or plane trowel according to the desired finish. The proportion and granulometry of PAVILAND CUARZO or PAVILAND CUARZO COLOR of the mixture will vary according to the application system (Multi-layer, dry or self-levelling mortar) and the desired thickness (it is advisable to consult our technical department in case of doubt).
  • After 24 hours it is possible to apply a sealing layer with the very same product using a roll or a rubber tool. This makes it easier to clean and it also provides an excellent aesthetic aspect.

Cautions and recommendations

  • Do not apply under 10ºC  or above 30ºC
  • Do not apply under risk of frost, heavy winds or direct sun light.
  • Use protective goggles and gloves. In case of direct skin  or clothes contact use abundant water and soap in order to remove it and avoid damages.
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Do not add extra water to the mixture.
  • The substrate should be completely dry.
  • Trowels and tools should be clean with solvents immediately after being used. Once the product  hardens, it is possible only possible to clean it by mechanic means.
  • Do not eat or smoke during its manipulation.
  • All empty containers must be removed in accordance with the current legislation.

Packaging

10 Kg (6,74 + 3,26) and 20Kg (13,48 + 6,52)  containers.
Up to 1 year storage in its original closed packaging, in fresh and dry places at 10 to 30ºC temperatures and always away from direct sun light or outdoor areas.
