Paviland® Impreso

Dry mortar which, when applied on fresh concrete, forms a monolithic wearing layer with extremely high abrasion resistance and high early mechanical strength. Its stamped or textured finish enables it to replicate the appearance of traditional paving materials, such as block paving, natural stone, and slate. Suitable for application over a wide temperature range. Can be cleaned using high-pressure water at an early age, even under cold weather conditions.

Technical Caracteristics

Product based on high strength Portland cement, selected aggregates, pigments, and great purity additives.

Advantages and Uses

  • Suitable for application over a wide temperature range.
  • Allows the floor to be cleaned using high-pressure water at an early age, even under cold weather conditions.
  • Pedestrian walkways in parks and landscaped areas.
  • Great workability.
  • Public squares.
  • Streets, pavements, external areas, residential access roads, swimming pool surrounds and urban roads subject to pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
  • High mechanical strength at early, intermediate, and long-term ages.
  • Outdoor sports facilities.
  • Car parks.
  • High resistance to abrasion.
  • Wide range of textures and colours.
  • Different stamped patterns and colour combinations can be achieved simply by changing the mould and the selected colour.
  • No changes in outdoors substrates.

Application Procedure

  • Prepare the substrate by placing the appropriate reinforcement before casting the concrete.
  • Protect all adjacent areas that must remain clean.
  • Pour the concrete and smooth it with a trowel. Do not vibrate it.
  • Spread PAVILAND IMPRESO evenly over the fresh concrete surface, ensuring a uniform distribution of colour and avoiding excessive build-up or areas with insufficient material.
  • Finish the surface using a telescopic trowel. Apply additional PAVILAND IMPRESO where necessary to achieve complete and uniform coverage, then trowel it again.
  • Ensure that the product is fully hydrated using only the mixing water contained in the fresh concrete. Do not add extra water, as this will significantly reduce the mechanical resistances.
  • Apply PAVILAND DESMOLDEANTE release agent before placing the stamping moulds onto the concrete while it remains in its plastic state.
  • Press the moulds evenly to obtain a uniform imprint across the entire surface.
  • After approximately 48 hours, remove the release agent using a high-pressure water jet. Under cold weather conditions, this operation may be delayed for up to 72 hours.
  • The surface layer shall be protected against rapid drying to prevent premature moisture loss from the mortar, particularly under conditions of elevated temperature and/or intense winds.
  • For this, the use of PAVILAND RESINA curing and/or protective resins is recommended.

Recommendations

  • Do not apply the product under temperatures of 5º nor above 30º.
  • Do not apply if there is risk of frost, rain, heavy wind, or direct sun light.
  • Use gloves and protective goggles when manipulating the product.
  • The application of a PAVILAND RESINA curing resin is required after installation, as described in the Application Instructions. (Application using a low-pressure pump is recommended).
  • It is necessary to have membranes, plastic sheets, or vapour barriers in place before pouring the concrete to provide an impermeable element that prevents moisture rising from the ground into the pavement.

Packaging and Storage

25 Kg of plastic laminated paper bags.
Store up to 1 year in its original closed container, away from extreme weather conditions and humidity.
