Paviland® Industrial 15R Autonivelante

Fast setting, pumpable, fibre-reinforced self-levelling floor screed for the levelling and smoothing of industrial interior floors. Once hardened, the product provides high mechanical strength and strong adhesion to the substrate. Thickness range: 5 to 15 mm. Suitable as a wearing surface or as a base layer to be covered with thin coatings providing enhanced chemical or mechanical protection, or a more decorative finish. Self-levelling floor screed particularly suitable for use in cold weather conditions.

Technical Caracteristics

Product based on special cement, selected aggregates, fibres, resins, and additives.

Advantages and Uses

  • Rapid commissioning.
  • Particularly suitable for use in cold weather conditions, where normal-drying self-levelling screeds require longer before being put into service.
  • High mechanical strength.
  • Pumpable.
  • Levelling and refurbishment of concrete floors in new industrial construction and renovation projects.
  • Creation of floors with high abrasion resistance.
  • Refurbishment of indoor car park floors without the need for a protective coating.
  • Low Shrinkage
  • Strong mechanical adhesion to the substrate.

Suitable Substrates

  • Concrete with a suitable resistance ( 25N/mm2 minimum compressive strength and 1,5 N/mm2 resistance to traction) open pores and light roughness. Please consult our technical department for a different type of substrate.
  • Substrates must be resistant enough, stable, sound, and clean. Free of dust, release agents, organic products, etc.
  • Prior to application, any honeycombs and/or cracks present in the substrate must be properly repaired using products from our concrete repair  MORCEMREST range.
  • Apply Paviland Primer R to avoid the formation of air bubbles on the floor and improve its adhesion to the substrate.
  • Before applying the mortar, ensure that there is no moisture rising by capillary action.

Application Procedure

  • Define and mark the maximum level of the screed.
  • The pouring area should be set up to prevent sections with different setting times. To achieve this, consider the available resources for the job, environmental conditions, and the mortar's open time. Pre-confining pouring areas can also help create partition joints, avoiding the need for later cutting.
  • Mix the product mechanically with water (4.25–4.75 litres per 25 kg bag) using a low-speed mechanical mixer (approx. 500 rpm). First mix the entire contents of the bag with two-thirds of the total recommended water until a homogeneous, lump-free paste is obtained, gradually adding the remaining water during mixing.
  • The amount of water specified in this technical data sheet is recommended in order to prevent shrinkage, segregation, and any reduction in mechanical strength.
  • Let the mixture rest for about 2 minutes before application.
  • For large areas, it is recommended to pump the mixture using twin-spiral mixers capable of delivering 20–40 L/min. This procedure helps to optimise installation times.
  • Spread manually using a metal levelling trowel once the primer has hardened. Then pass a nylon spiked roller of a size appropriate to the maximum thickness of the self-levelling screed. Respect structural joints and create perimeter and partition joints.
  • It is not necessary to coat Paviland Industrial 15R Self-Levelling, as it is suitable for use as a wearing surface. It may be coated with paints from the PAVILAND PINTURA range or with resin coatings from the PAVILAND range. In such cases, prior surface preparation may be required to remove any surface laitance. The maximum permissible moisture content required by the selected coating system must also be observed.

Recommendations

  • Do not apply the product under temperatures of 5º nor above 30º.
  • Do not apply under the risk of frost, rain, heavy wind, or direct sun light.
  • Do not apply outdoor.
  • Do not apply on moisten floors or at risk of having moisture.
  • Keep in mind the product's workability time when planning the tasks.
  • Use gloves and protective goggles when manipulating the product. Keep away from children. Do not add sand, cement, or any other material that may alter the original formulation.
  • Once the product has been mixed, and its resting time has elapsed, do not add any water.
  • For floors with surfaces larger than 20 m² or more than 10 linear meters, it is recommended to create expansion joints, dividing sections, with joints of about 6 mm that can be filled with PUMALASTIC MS or PU.
  • The expansion joints of the original substrate must be respected, and perimeter joints should be created.
  • The surface layer must be protected from drying too quickly, avoiding dehydration of the mortar, especially in conditions of elevated temperature and/or strong wind, recommending the use of protection and/or curing resins from the PAVILAND RESINA range for this purpose.
