Additional information

Composition

Polyurethane foam with acrylic impregnation.

Features and applications

  • Hermetic sealing of the joints thanks to the foam expansion.
  • Sealing against wind, dust and water splashes
  • Resistant to temperature changes according to DIN 18542 (BG1), tested from -30 ºC to + 90 ºC.
  • Thermal insulation and sound absorber
  • Dimensional tolerance leveling.
  • Water tightness, vapor permeability.
  • UV resistant

Instructions for use

  • Cut the end of the tape and progressively remove the protective film while placing the tape on the joint
  • Apply the compressed joint tape with the adhesive part directly on the protruding element, on the outermost part of the insulating panel, without exceeding the thickness of the insulation.
  • Cut the tape at the corners and attach the ends precisely, applying light pressure.
  • Installation of the tape and immediate alignment of the insulating panel is recommended.
  • In the case of mutually perpendicular joints, the tapes have blunt ends.
  • A tight bond can be achieved by leaving one of the tapes approximately 1 cm/m longer than necessary and pressing against the other.
  • The sides of the joint, that is, the walls that define the depth of the joint, must be parallel (with a maximum tolerance of 3°)
  • The support must be cleaned and loose particles and mortar remains removed.
  • Apply the tape at least 2 mm beyond the edge of the joint.
  • If the tape is not inserted into the joint for at least 2 mm can, in some cases, change the tape properties and tightness.
  • The tape must not come into contact with thinners or aggressive chemicals.

Cautions and recommendations

  • Once the tape has expanded its use is not recommended.
  • The tape should not be exposed. It must be covered by the coating applied to the panels in a general manner.
  • The tape must not come into contact with thinners or aggressive chemicals.

Packaging
